How can a foreigner get a Ukrainian visa

A visa to Ukraine from January 1, 2020 will not be issued upon arrival: a new document regulating the rules of entry into the country was signed by the Ukrainian government. Reportedly, from January 1, 2019, new rules apply for issuing visas to enter Ukraine and transit through its territory: foreigners will not get tourist and business visas at checkpoints at the international airports Boryspil, Kiev (airport in Zhuliany) and «Odessa», do I need an invitation to enter Ukraine.

Now, citizens of countries with which Ukraine has signed an agreement on the operation of the visa regime must first obtain an electronic visa (e-Visa) or an alternative type of visa before traveling to Ukraine by contacting the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country, where visa documents will be issued centrally.

The list of grounds for applying for E-visas has been expanded. E-visas will be issued for up to 30 days for trips to Ukraine: on a business trip, for tourism purposes, for private purposes, for treatment, for cultural, scientific activities, for education and sports, to media representatives.
